Feature 3: Kitchen Renovation in Mentor, OH

This week Acclaim Renovations & Design brings to you a renovated kitchen completed in Mentor, OH! This kitchen was a throw back to the 80′s! The appliances and materials were dated, the fridge next to the dining room entryway caused congestion, and the sheet vinyl flooring looked jaded. In addition, the partitioned wall between the kitchen and dining room (with the stove) prevented ongoing conversation to be had between the cook and guests.              Due to the following changes made during the renovation, the kitchen now portrays a contemporary design: Rich espresso colored Oak cabinetry created a sense of comfort and warmth within the space. River white granite counter tops with sporadically placed dark speckles lightened the room and ties in beautifully with the dark cabinetry. The white china double bowl kitchen sink is any cook or mother’s dream. It is large and deep–perfect for numerous kitchen activities and projects. The bianco avante mosiac tile back splash also helped lighten up the area and added another layer of texture. All appliances were upgraded to stainless steel. Maple fruitwood floors tied the color scheme all together. It also helped create a simultaneous flow from one room to another.       Before the remodel, the dining room was partitioned off of the kitchen by a wall half way across the room, it was painted an exuberated maroon color, and had worn tan carpet. After the remodel, the partition wall was cut down to half of its original size. This opened up the dining room to the kitchen and allowed for conversation to be had between the cook and company. Other changes made were as follows: A new stainless steel exhaust hood...

Feature 2: Bathroom Renovation in Madison, OH

Are you ready for an epic bathroom transformation to take place before your eyes?! This beauty is found in Madison, OH and is nothing short of stunning.     Let’s begin! The main room of the bathroom now houses the vanity and shower areas. The room is spacious, open, extremely functional and allows for multiple people to be present at the same time. There is another room off of this main room that leads into a big walk-in closet with a ton of storage space and hanging room for clothes. Inside the closet is then another doorway that leads into another little room. That room is where the laundry and toilet are located. The complete bathroom layout was designed wisely used the space to its max potential. Prior to the remodel, these homeowners had a very dis-functional bathroom! It was in a drastic need of a renovation to say the least! The walls in the shower area were molding along the top. There wasn’t enough closet space or storage for their clothes so they threw all of the clothes in the unused bathtub instead. The vanity had no counter room and lacked proper lighting. The bathtub was a horrible pink color and was never used because of the clothes that overtook it. That is just a few of the issues. Let’s look at them all.           We will start with the new walk-in shower! AMAZING, right? It’s simply breathtaking. The unique shape of the base and partial circular door really adds to the aesthetic appeal. The shower seat and wall cap are Caeserstone organic white and radiates off of the bayside pewter shower wall exceptionally well. The bliss...

It’s exuberant, full of life, spacious and very functional!                    BEFORE                                                                            AFTER Prior to the remodel, this homeowner had red painted on the end wall and in the hallway, insufficient lighting, and a table placed against the end wall that served as a counter top and storage space. Just by looking at the picture, it’s obvious the kitchen lacked storage space, counter space, lighting, drawers and cabinets. Simply put, it lacked functionality and presence.                   Prior to the remodel, the end wall and hallway were both red and the left side wall had no storage in sight. After the remodel, the hallway was Spring Moss in color and the red wall became Candy Apple green. A Canyon Passage colored counter top accented the Avalon Medallion Silver-line Maple polished Ginger Snap cabinets. Together, this created a stunning color scheme! The colors simply danced off of one another in a mesmerizing trance. The homeowner now has closed storage to house appliances and products in to keep them out of the open air/dust. The additional drawers and cabinets are a huge improvement and make a world of difference. Furthermore, large cabinets were installed along the left side wall for additional storage. One Man and a Hammer wanted to take full advantage and...
